Places to Play

Come play with us! We have a large group of mostly 3.0 to 3.5+ level players that plays at Hillsborough Community College - Dale Mabry campus - across from Raymond James stadium on Mondays and Wednesdays. Download the HCC Tennis app from your Apple or Android store, register and then look for "Classes" , then pick the closest Monday or Wednesday and see if there is a spot available. It fills up fast, so you may see "Full" as we cap it to keep it from being too full. Try back the day before or same day to see if a space becomes available.

On Fridays, HCC as been hosting some different kinds of events, which are usually emailed to their members or you can locate them by checking the schedule on the HCC Tennis Center app that you can download for Apple or Android devices. Or feel free to give them a call at 813-348-1173 to ask about upcoming events.

This following list includes photos of some outdoor courts my pickleball friends and I have visited in the Tampa Bay area.

Additionally, we love visiting the covered courts at G.T. Bray Park in Bradenton. The second time we went, it rained for 10 minutes and we didn't even notice!

Beginner Play! Bardmoor Country Club in Seminole is a great place to play if you're just starting out. Text Merissa Rock at 954-817-8359 to be added to the beginners mass text group for various weekday mornings at 8am (sometimes it's at 9 depending on the time change so find out from Merissa, the pro there). It costs $7 at the golf pro shop. They have great bar-type food and beer/wine/liquor at the bar.

Tampa -

Julian B Lane Riverfront Park

One of their two dedicated courts. The courts are lit and open late. Evenings are busy. they have recently added more courts with temp nets on the tennis courts. Free.

Tampa Bay Pickleball at Oldsmar Flea Market

They recently opened and have a/c, 2 bathrooms, and outdoor style flooring. They have drinks and snacks to purchase. Check them out! Costs vary by time of day.
